The Delhi Branch of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari celebrated the Guru Purnima Festival on Sunday,21,2024 at its Chanakyapuri Center. Dr. Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Uttar Prant was the chief speaker of the day.
The program was organized at the Community Center, Railway Colony, Sarojini Nagar, where Dr. Nikhil Yadav interacted with the residents of the colony under the theme of Guru Purnima. He said “Nikhil Yadav highlights the profound impact of Sri Ramakrishna on Swami Vivekananda’s life, transforming the initially skeptical Narendranath Datta into a key spiritual leader.
Through Sri Ramakrishna’s teachings, Vivekananda experienced a deep spiritual awakening and embraced values of selflessness and service. Their relationship, marked by mutual respect and love, empowered Vivekananda to found the Ramakrishna Mission and spread Indian spirituality globally, especially noted in his 1893 Chicago address.
This transformation underscores the powerful influence of the guru-disciple bond on personal and societal change.” Around 120 people were present at the event.
